intro

This iconic, award-winning Beaux Arts venue has been a Manhattan staple since the late 90s. We love it because t’s intimate, and the sound quality is great. Many punk rockers have made history here over the years, and in recent times, the venue caters to a range of genres.

history

The building which now is home to the Bowery Ballroom initially housed multiple shops in the 20th century, until it was purchased by the Mercury Lounge founders in 1998 just five years after they opened their first club. Since then, it has been one of the most beloved music venues in all of NYC due to its intimacy and impeccable sound quality. In 2017, the venue’s founder partnered with Live Nation to start a new booking company called Mercury East which oversees the Mercury Lounge, the Bowery Ballroom, and several other venues like Mercury Lounge & Irving Plaza.
