intro

An awesome outside venue in the heart of Queens where you want to see a big show in the summer or early fall. There’s both GA standing and stadium seating, so you can choose your own adventure. You can find lots of food and drink options inside the stadium, and the staff is super helpful and friendly.

history

Purchased in 1912, Forest Hills Stadium was originally home to West Side Tennis Club, a private club which hosted the US Open for over 50 years during the 20th century. During this time, the Stadium hosted multiple large concerts as well, featuring artists such as The Beatles and Bob Dylan. The Stadium stopped hosting the Open in 1978, and fell into serious disrepair by the 2010s. However, in 2013, it reopened as a concert venue, with Mumford and Sons playing the opening show. After moderate success hosting shows in 2013, the venue underwent significant renovation until 2017. That year, the tennis club made a deal with booking company, AEG, who have brought several prominent artists to play at the venue every summer since then.
