Knockdown Center

intro
Knockdown is an awesome space that hosts a range of awesome artists and events. There’s the indoor space where you’ll be most winter, “The Ruins” space outdoors where you’ll be groovin’ during the summer and fall, and “The Basement” club where you’ll be year-round in the wee hours of the morning.
history
The building where Knockdown Center is located was originally a glass factory, and later, a door factory owned by Samuel Sklar. Eventually, when the factory was no longer being used, it fell into the hands of Sklar’s son, David. After originally hoping to selling the property, David converted the space to what it is today in 2012, and the Knockdown Center now hosts a variety of events from exhibitions, concerts, and public events.
