intro
As one of the most scenic venues in NYC, Pier 17 hosts an amazing star-studded summer concert series against the backdrop of the city skyline. With dope music, fresh frozen cocktails, and great views, what else could you ask for?
history
Pier 17 was a crucial gateway of international shipping from New York City in the 19th century and was eventually converted to an indoor market reminiscent of Boston's Faneuil Hall in 1985. In 2014, it was closed and demolished to make space for a new project, becoming part of the $785 million Seaport District redevelopment plan which included a new pier building home to multiple dining locations and a breathtaking rooftop concert venue. In the summers, the Rooftop at Pier 17 has consistently brought in a diverse group of artists and established itself as one of the most scenic live music venues in the entire city.
