history
Holding its first show on January 7th, 2024, Racket is a newer expansion of Bowery Presents. The venue resurrected the previous home of the Highline Ballroom, which operated as one of Manhattan’s premier mid-level concert venues from 2007 to 2019 and hosted artists such as Paul McCartney, Adele, Steve Martin, Amy Winehouse, and The Roots. With minimal decor and a 650 person capacity, the intimate bi-level space boasts great sightlines and a newly renovated sound system. Fulfilling Bowery Presents’ need for a smaller capacity venue since its merger with AEG in 2017, Racket envisions itself as the perfect staging grounds for up-and-coming bands and bigger artists seeking a more intimate performing experience.
